THE BACKYARD BASEBALL ACADEMIES

Beginning November 16, The BackYard, the area’s newest indoor baseball training facility, offers “The BackYard Baseball Academies.” Penn State New Kensington head baseball coach, Matt Sprinkle, together with Damian Blum, the BackYard’s director of baseball, professional trainers, and collegiate baseball players teach, demonstrate, and reinforce strong baseball fundamentals and mechanics.

The Academies welcome young athletes ages 6 to 14 of all skill levels. With the exception of the Catching Academy, each consists of two age groups, and all Academies are limited to a maximum of 20 athletes, fostering an active learning environment.

Each BackYard Baseball Academy is priced at $150 for six hours of training:
